The most highly anticipated boxing match in years is coming up — but it won’t be cheap to view.
On Saturday, boxing’s undefeated pound-for-pound champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather and mixed martial artist and reigning UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor go toe-to-toe in the boxing ring at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Coverage is slated to start at 9 p.m. Eastern.
The fight is set to be one of the year’s biggest sporting events, and is expected to be one of the highest-grossing fights in history. ESPN projected it will bring in $606 million.
While the promotion and preparation for the fight has been highly publicized, pundits seem to believe McGregor, who has never boxed professionally or as an amateur, doesn’t stand a chance.
The fight between Mayweather and McGregor is expected to be the most widely distributed pay-per-view event of all time.
You can also stream the fight on ShowtimePPV.com or through the Showtime PPV app only available on Apple devices. It’s available through the UFC.tv website or UFC TV app supported by Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox, Amazon’s Fire TV and android devices
Watching the fight for free will be tough. Dozens of websites were promoting pirated streams of the fight, but Showtime is already suing more than 40 sites to prevent them from airing the unauthorized streams.
Just watch your DSTV or Kwese TV to watch the much-anticipated match of all time because No local channel in Ghana would show it.
